Building a company is an on-going process. Below are what we believe to be the three most important tools a business owner needs - franchise or not:

  1. Preparation/Up-front Training:  Our Initial Training covers everything you need to kick off your new business. You'll get hands-on training on how to do the work. You will learn industry vocabulary. Most importantly, we will build your S.T.O.P Master Business Plan which lines out your goals, your budget and your marketing strategies. This is your personalized S.T.O.P blueprint that you will follow throughout the year. You will be more prepared than many of your competitors (and you just started)! Your S.T.O.P Plan will guide you, keep you in control, and create a sense of urgency that every achiever needs. Your knowledge of the immediate challenges will equip you to aggressively attack your market the day you get home.

  2. An expert to call on any time of day, week, month, year, life of the business:  Isn't this the reason you're buying a franchise? Unless you are already an expert, you will need (and be smart) to call on an expert from time to time. We have a saying at S.T.O.P "The best clients call the most." It's true. Our biggest, most profitable clients call us nearly every day. You will have questions about jobs, sales, marketing, negotiating, equipment, purchases, customers, products, subcontractors, employees, money, time, vehicles... The list goes on and on. These are the real things that need attention in a service company. The reason S.T.O.P is the absolute best service franchise available is our commitment to help you NEVER MAKE A BAD DECISION.   3. On-going Management Development Training:  Running a business successfully is a talent. Business talent, to a degree, is inherited. But to a larger degree, it is learned. Similar to learning how to play the piano, practice makes perfect. So, to help you stay sharp on your "instrument," we hold three two-day S.T.O.P Executive Development Meetings each year. These meetings give us the chance and flexibility to address common challenges in technical, management and marketing. These meetings are usually held at our headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri and when you attend, we pay for your hotel and food.
