Here's a quick reference to help you compare S.T.O.P to other franchises.
Franchisor:

S.T.O.P. President, Mack L. Clark began as a marketing and management consultant to the cleaning and restoration industry in 1971. His reputation as the premier “growth and profitability” consultant in this industry is unchallenged… His track record unmatched. Demand for us became so strong in the restoration industry, franchising was the logical way to extend our reach and manage growth.

Price: Plan A) $32,000
  Plan B) $38,000
  - No difference in franchise details (training, on-call support, territory, etc.). 
  - Financing available from outside sources.
Royalty: Plan A.........9%
(on gross sales) Plan B.........7%
  - Buy down from Plan A to Plan B for difference between the two, plus 10%.
Territory Size: Up to 300,000 population. (Larger in some metro areas for no extra charge). We do not sell master franchises; so you cannot be controlled by any other STOP franchisee.
Protected Territory: Yes - Retail and agent marketing and advertising by other STOP’s is prohibited in your territory.
Initial Training*: One week at our headquarters & work with other franchisees if desired. New franchisees receive technical training and leave with Master Business Plan, Marketing Plan, etc.
* We pay for hotel and food.
On-Going Training*: Three 2-day meetings per year. (For last 5 years, we've held at least four of these meetings).
* We pay for hotel and food at all contractual training meetings.
On-Call Consulting: All STOP consultants (including President) are available everyday. You will also have home and cell numbers for emergency management, marketing, technical issues.
Litigation: We've never been sued; nor part of any settlement outside of court; nor even threatened to be sued. We have happy franchisees.
Bankruptcy: No officer of STOP has ever filed nor been part of a company that filed bankruptcy.
Equipment Needs: Truck or van plus $10,000 to $15,000 for start-up equipment (We are not an equipment supplier posing as a franchise). We offer tools/tool packages at market $. We will happily direct you to other sources of quality equipment.
Rent: You may work from your house at start-up. Growth rate will dictate need for office / shop.
Total Investment: Initial fee, Equipment, and we recommend 3-6 months of survival money.
Trademarks: The STOP logo is registered (#2,555,805) with the USPTO.
